VADA x Klagenfurt Festival

Happening in the Goethe Park (English Translation)

radio AGORA 105.5: "Naked happenings in public space: art between actionism and body painting? Political statement, esotericism or simply joie de vivre? Naked bodies smear themselves with mud, eat dirt, sing and dance to it.

Arte Alpe Adria | KulturMomente takes you to the unusual opening of the Museum of Edible Earth - the Amsterdam museum for edible earth. In a participatory performance by masharu , SasaHara , Yulia Izmaylova, Felix Strasser, Dees and the audience involved in and around the Art Nouveau Theater in Klagenfurt/Celovec, rock samples and soil were tasted, touched and bodies painted. A celebration of the elements earth, water, fire, air: clay, shower, brazier, air and sounds of dees. Special samples collected especially for Klagenfurt were dolomite stone, glacier milk and Ulrichsbergerde. The reactions were varied, but definitely positive.

Collaboration with VADA Verein zur Anregung des dramatischen Appetits and SasaHara in Jugendstiltheater Klagenfurt / Celovec during Klagenfurt Festival, Austria

The Association for Stimulating Dramatic Appetite (VADA) is constantly concerned with the development, further development, mediation and dissemination of original and universal artistic concepts. This primarily includes the production of stage works based on the «Vadaist Manifesto». In addition, VADAstrives to provide the hungry audience in both urban and rural regions with art and culture as regularly and as comprehensively as possible, whereby exhibitions, concerts, readings and much more are organized in addition to theatrical performances. If possible, talks and discussions with the audience will also take place. The invitation of artists from Germany and abroad guarantees a varied additional offer and a constant interdisciplinary exchange.

After the enthusiastic reception last year, the Klagenfurt Festival is bringing big names from the theater, hip bands, international performances and projects from the independent scene to the city in its second edition.
