LIFE AS A FUNCTION
The project concentrates on the idea that the life of a human can be described by a mathematical function. It considers a simplified model, where the time and the karma of a human are evaluated on the Cartesian coordinate axes. For the reconstruction of the function shape, photography is used as an instrument.
The idea of description human realities with trivial mathematical functions came into my mind when I was in the last year of high school. Back then I was observing that this function is periodic, and started looking for a more precise description of this periodicity.
Later on, the idea was developed within the Sensitive Surface project, under the direction of Elīna Cērpa, which resulted in a number of performances and expositions in 2010 in Trouw Amsterdam, Boterhal Hoorn, Kunststelling Alkmaar.
