Museum of Edible Earth: Central Asia
Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan




The research trip of the Museum of Edible Earth to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan took place in July – August 2019. The trip has been an amazing experience, as in all of those three places clay is sold as an edible product on the markets. Some of those samples were obtained for the collection of the Museum of Edible Earth. Also, short interviews with the locals have been conducted.

Talks in Almaty and Bishkek took place. Those meetings were two ways exchanges with local community about the traditions of eating earth worldwide along with the local traditions.
