Feet in the Land

Feet in the Land seeks to explore ancient traditions, practices and manifestations involving and connected to ground. A particular interest is set on how the specific social, cultural and religious climate of the Arkhangelsk region has shaped unique faith relationships to the earth. The aim is to work with the contemporary life of the community, local practices and their possible life in the exhibition space. The investigation is blended in a broader look at how people connect to land or “roots”, involving the concepts of DNA.
